Dies for Threading
By Don Teach

One source for dies is the adjustable type made by Little Giant and
handled by machine shop supply houses. McMaster-Carr is an industrial
supply house that handles sets of the Greenfield Little Giant two piece
die sets.

The handy set of dies for player men (or women) is number 2632A5 for only
220.82 , on page 1842 of the 103 catalog. Phone 404-346-7000 if you live
in the south. E-mail: atl.sales@mcmaster.com

Catalogs are hard to obtain so tell them your shop has 15 people working
or you will not get a catalog. They have fiber for valves, copper rivet
washers for Cremona pianos, all kinds of machine screws, cork sheets,
spray adhesives which we use for making pin block tracings, and 3000
pages of neat toys.

Oh yeah, you can buy the adjustable dies one at a time from your local
machine shop store. The largest machine shop supply store is not even
in the yellow pages here. They are usually under Industrial Equipment
Supplies.
