"Earwitness" Duo-Art CDs
By Rob DeLand

Folks, A good friend tipped me off to some outstanding new recordings of
a Steinway Duo-Art which is the best I've ever heard. It is part of the
Earwitness radio series and you can read about it at

    http://www/madrigal.com/

The piano is voiced like you wouldn't believe, and artistic phrasing
comes out like I've never heard in any other Duo-Art, live or recorded!
The Duo-Art technician is Jeffrey Morgan, and he certainly did an
outstanding job. I wholeheartedly recommend this CD to anyone
interested.

Regards,
Rob DeLand

[ A sustained and highly debated thread about the "Earwitness" (also
[ "Ear Witness") and Nimbus audio recordings began in Digest 970330.
[ You may search the MMD Archives for these keywords. My recollection
[ of the brouhaha is that few fans of the reproducing piano felt that the
[ recordings were an accurate representation of the pneumatic art, nor
[ of the artist's art. My own opinion of the blurb at the web site is
[ not suitable for publication in MMD! ;) -- Robbie
