Soft-playing PianoDisc
By Philip Jamison

The problem with "soft" playing on solenoid players was recently improved
by PianoDisc. Formerly, the lowest volume was adjusted by one control
which worked on every note. Often, particularly in classical pieces, the
pianissimo passages didn't even play. Conversely, the forte passages were
too loud. The current design allows each note to be separately adjusted
for it's softest possible strike. The improvement is noticeable. I'm
told this can also be had as a retrofit.
