Making Pneumatics
By Damon Atchison

It is obvious that there were not computerized robots building the
pneumatics and stacks of the teens and twenties, so who or what glued
all the parts in all those pneumatics, such as a reiterating pneumatic?
There is a lot of gluing and careful measuring that has to be done when
making one.

I also was wondering if anyone had ever heard of any wartime halt in the
production of automatic pianos? Did the mechanical music industry
participate in manufacture of World War I supplies? Did anyone need an
emergency Seeburg K on the battlefield, or maybe a few hundred lock and
cancel valves?
