Q. David Bowers created a demand by writing the classic book, "Encyclo-
pedia of Automatic Musical Instruments."  Then he and Terry Hathaway
founded their successful emporium, International Musical Industries (IMI),
and sold lots of instruments to folks who wanted what they read about in
the book.
