Jody,  Find attached a UUencoded .wav audio file of a song I've been 
trying to identify for many years.  Perhaps you could put it up on the 
web site for a short period of time so that MMDers could listen to it.
I had run out of ideas to identify it until I got a player piano and 
learned there were zillions of marches written over the years, and it's 
very likely it may have made it to the paper roll medium.

The song is notable in that appears in at least 6 different "short" films
by the 3 Stooges, the earliest one I've noted being from 1938 (so the
song was written then or before).  There is no other music that appears
so often within their work as this one (and I want to figure out why!).

I *suspect* it is a march, but can't be sure as a different recording is
used in each of the 6 shorts, and the tempo used changes in each
instance; sometimes it sounds fast like a polka, most of the time like a
march.

This particular .wav file was clipped from "Dutiful But Dumb", from 1941.
I have the other 5 versions available if asked (containing more parts of
the song -- it seems like a portion of it is played repeatedly in this
clip), but hopefully this one will trigger somebody's tune memory bank.
Ignore the mid-tune changing tempo and the actors' voices.  Any pointers
to the title of this song and any knowledge of piano rolls made of it
would be much appreciated!
