I hope someone out there can help me.  I have a friend that has a
player that is electric and also can be pumped.  Well, when she wants
to pump the player the electric valve won't let her, but when she fixes
the valve so she can pump it, she cannot use the electric.

Does anyone know what might be causing this.  She has put a piece of
cardboard over the valve so she can pump it.  She would like to be able
to use the electric part of the time but at this time she can't.
