B.A.B. Book Music
By Marc Elbasani

Dominik Brugnolotti of the B.A.B. firm punched the book music himself in
the earlier years of the company's organ conversions. J. Lawrence Cook
never dabbled with the book music to my knowledge. I do not know if
they still punched book music when they went into rolls, but that may
have been possible.

I've heard the book music and it is in most cases superior in its
melodic texture to the rolls. Maybe my ears are playing tricks on
me, but I swear the arranging is different from that of J Lawrence
Cook. It can't be him because the books were punched before he even
joined....At least that's what I think. ^_-

Oh, someone here mentioned an original B.A.B. band-organ? Does anyone
here know anything about 66-key or larger band-organs made by BAB?
Quick query for all you band-organ buffs. What kind of Gavioli/Bruder/
Ruth organ has all of the pipes in the main case and no floor pipes?
Because Tilden Park's organ has no floor pipes at all. I am certain
about that.
