Telarc Rachmaninoff CDs
By Rich Marschner

I, too am looking forward to the Telarc release of the complete
Rachmaninoff roll collection which Wayne Stahnke mentioned in
yesterday's MMD. Telarc is right here in Cleveland (and co-founder
Bob Woods is a fellow wine nut), and you couldn't have picked a better
company, Wayne.

Telarc is now the largest remaining independent "record" company in the
country, and they continue to branch out into more and more specialized
areas that the "majors" won't touch. The care they take with this sort
of project is unmatched, and the sonic quality is always first-rate
from Telarc.

Another happy note: Telarc's distribution is very strong for an
independent, so most of us should have little trouble finding the
CD set when it's released. If you listen to WCLV on the Web
<www.wclv.com> around release time, you may get a chance to preview
it before you buy!

Great project, Wayne. Are we to look forward to others, too --
Saint Saens, for one?
