Pauline Alpert
By Hal Davis

Indeed Pauline was a woman. She was also a very good friend of Dorothy
Kilgallen, and Pauline played the theme song, 'I'll Take Manhattan',
for Dorothy Kilgallen's radio show.

I was told that 'suskind' is the German for 'fair child' so it
shouldn't be a surprise that Milton Suskind took the English version
of the name, especially considering the national sentiment at the time.
