New RealAudio Tunes
By Karl Ellison

Four more player piano tunes to hear at
 http://members.aol.com/kbellison/piano.html

  o The Charleston - (QRS #3143, QRS # Q-133) - Played by James P.
Johnson, contains some tricky timing of chords.

o Clap Yo' Hands (QRS #XP-295-B) - Part of a medley roll "Gershwin
plays Gershwin" There are a number of bloopers in this roll, and I
may have played it too slow. I'll put up the roll's other songs soon,
et. al.

  o Masculine Women - Feminine Men (QRS #XP-233-B, QRS #3383) -
Probably a spoof on the 20's gay/lesbian scene. The words are a hoot:

  "Masculine Women, Feminine Men,
which is the rooster, which is the hen" ...
  "Grandma is wearing tailor-made clothes,
Grampa tries to smell like a rose"

Part of a Roaring Twenties Party 1985 QRS medley roll.

o My Mammy (QRS #1324, QRS #Q-156) - pb Pete Wendling - Yup, Al
Jolson's signature song. I always thought it was just called "Mammy".
This one boarders on having too much mandolin orchestration for my
taste, but the tune is suppose to sound a bit pathetic.
