Mechanical Music Journals on CD ROM
By Sam Harris

Gary, This project may be a little unrealistic, but I wish there was
a way we could have the MBSI journals and the AMICA journals scanned,
indexed and saved on a CD ROM. They could be done in 5 year sections,
starting with '95 and going back to '90. There could be a new one out
every 5 years, plus there could be projects to go back and get journals
from the past formatted for sale on CD. I would be willing to pay a
great deal to obtain a copy of this invaluable tool for researching.

I realize you can get more than 5 years on a single CD, but in this
format if the sales were good you could sell more. This would be a way
for the societies to generate a little income, providing that someone
would donate the time and equipment to put the project together, but on
the other hand it could be a big waste of time and money.

It sure would be nice to know how many members of these societies use
computers with CD capabilities and if they would be interested in such
a project and at what price. Just a little something to think about.

Have a great day,

Sam Harris
