Durward Center's Welte Orchestrion CD
By Rob DeLand

Last year I had the pleasure of visiting with Durward, and I asked
about the Welte orchestrion CD. He said he was sold out, and was
contemplating having more made. In the mean time, I learned that it is
available from none other than our good friend Nancy Fratti, so if you
want a copy of the CD you'd better contact Nancy pronto, and sweet-talk
her real good! (Robbie, can you append Nancy's email or telephone # to
this? Thanks!)

The CD is excellent, the package is beautiful, and it comes very highly
recommended. Durward owns the Style 5 machine, and the Style 6 belongs
to Ken Goldman. Durward restored them both, and they sound great on
this all-digital CD. There are 12 selections (mostly overtures) and it
clocks in at over 73 minutes.

Regards,
Rob DeLand

[ We haven't heard from Nancy for awhile. Hope all's okay.
