Regarding embarrassing situations to be caught in with a piano, I've
had a couple also.

Bringing a small Howard studio console back from a school that had
rented it for sub-sectional competitions, I was unloading it off the
trailer when it tipped on it's back going onto the dolly.  I was the
only person moving it of course (it was a small piano)!

I was in the process of loading up a very large Netzow upright to be
delivered (I couldn't wait for my help) when it off-balanced me as
I was putting it on the dolly and threw me against another piano that I
had been working on to sell.  It took me about 15 minutes to extricate
myself from that situation and upright the piano, (which dented the
other piano) and I decided then that maybe I should wait until my help
arrives to do such things.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that does these things !

By the way, John, new casters always seem to throw things off.  If I
forget to put my carpet under the casters when I'm tipping a piano up
to its balance point, the new casters get me every time.
