Hi Larry,  I used to repair and restore a lot of Edison cylinder
phonographs in years past, but now concentrate on cylinder and disc
music boxes.  I still do occasionally take on an Edison; they are a
personal favorite of mine.  I have about 200 cylinders for them.

I do still have a fair amount of Edison parts, both NOS (new-old-
stock), new reproduction, and used but still serviceable.  I am sure I
could get yours playing again if you'd like.  There are several folks
around the US who are still doing Edisons.

The way I work is this: I must have the machine shipped to me, and I
will disassemble and examine it, determine cost to repair, call and or
mail you an estimate, and go from there.  I make _no charge_ for the
estimate, and the option is yours whether or not to proceed.  Your sole
obligation is to cover the shipping both ways, whether or not I end up
repairing it.

I think my policy is fair to everyone.  Actually, I typically invest
about two hours time in the job of examination, so I lose money if
someone refuses my estimate, but that has only happened one time in 11
years, so I suppose I must be doing something right.

Anyway, I can help, and depending on where you are, I know there are
others who can too.
