My parents have a Deagon Unafon used during the 1930's which they
would like to sell now.  It has been in our family about 35 years,
and we just want our parents to enjoy any rewards while they still
can.  The plate says the following:

  J. C. Deagan
  Chicago USA
  Patent August 1889, ... July 1917

It was probably manufactured in the late teens or early 1920's,
and was used by a Rescue Mission starting in either the 20's or 30's.
It was on a horse-drawn wagon (which we don't have), and the one
playing the instrument had the keyboard in front of him with a strap
around his neck.

It has all its original bell covers and felt and box, indicating
its good condition when my parents got it in 1962.

It has been completely re-vamped and changed from batteries to plugging
into 110v.  There also is a switch that allows it to still be hooked up
to the 2 X 6 Volt batteries if so desired.

The only change is that the original instrument could be switched to
either make a single bell sound when a key was hit, or the reiterating
bell sound.  As it is right now (and I don't know if it can be changed
back), when a key is hit it can only make the reiterating sound, which
is much louder.

Is anyone interested?  All 49 bells and covers are intact and in
very good condition.  Keyboard is also in very good condition.
