With regard to blotting paper, You can get gasket paper in various
thickness and stiffness at a major auto parts supplier. If you can find
a store which is attached to a wholesale warehouse, the chances are
better to find what you want. I have used NAPA gasket paper very
successfully for gaskets. G et the thickest and softest that they have
and it works ok.
