Hi folks,  I have a few questions regarding the installation of the
Pianomation into a modern upright piano above the keybed.

I agree that the installation under the keybed it a real bitch in a
small modern upright.  It is a bit scary (to me) that one has to modify
(mutilate) the piano so much to make the system fit.  Sawing the frame
support(s) off is completely out of the question for me.  I will rather
tell the customer that the system cannot be installed into that piano.

Now, could someone please enlighten me as to how one would install the
solenoid rail above the keybed?  Where are the solenoids (stacked
zig-zag in 2 rows) going to make contact with the piano action?

The wippens in the modern (smallish) pianos rest right on top of the
capstan screws.  The solenoids will be far above this and the whole
rail with striker fingers might end higher than the hammers.  Would one
have to construct 80 special brackets for the wippens to somehow extend
them upwards?  Please enlighten me.
