Coin-Operated Entertainment for 1890 San Francisco Bordello
By Rose Howard, forwarded

Hi everyone at MMD -- Thank you for your responses to my question about
mechanical musical instruments available in 1890. I was astounded at
the number of people who have responded with such great information,
which I might add is better than what I probably could have found in an
encyclopedia.

From the information I've decided that a real life pianist is sitting
there with a bowl for tips. (The player piano will just have to wait
for a 1920's or so book.)

All my stories are historical, and as such I do try to make sure my
facts are correct, even if an item is only mentioned in one sentence as
the piano is in this story. Besides, if I'd used the player piano, one
of you would have read my book (hopefully) and immediately caught the
error and maybe not read anything else I might write. No, I am not
published as of yet, this one I am in hopes will be my first.

Again, I want to thank all of you. You're all great.
