You cannot use hot glue with Polylon, but must use a glue sold by PPCo,
and called by them "Plastic Glue".  It works and looks like white glue
("Elmer's Glue"), but is quite different.  Polylon can be glued with
either side out, but I prefer to glue with the fabric side out.

On the plus side, my brother recovered his H. C. Bay player using Poly-
lon nearly 30 years ago, and it still works (and it gets used a _lot_)
quite well, with no apparent leaks.

On the down side, the plastic glue is exactly like white glue in one
respect:  it is nearly impossible to get out of the wood if recovering
should become necessary.

Polylon is a good product, and one that I have used myself on my
Knabe/Autopiano player (for the few pneumatics that have required
re-covering), but when I re-cover my Marshall & Wendell Ampico upright,
I'm going to look around and try to find good quality rubber cloth, so
that I can use original material, which will make future repairs much
easier.
