Franklin Ampico Doesn't Play
By Ed Copeland

Thanks to all who responded to my question about my Franklin. After
reviewing all the possibilities, I found that picking up the phone and
calling Don Barton for an appointment was the easiest. There are so
many weird things happening that I am not going to take a chance with
it.

I did do a little poking around, and the bass end started working
(I haven't a clue what I touched), and the treble very weakly. Also
if you push the manual loudness buttons down it plays at a moderate
volume.

What I found was

1. The treble intensity cancel is on all the time (remove the tube and
put finger on hole, and notes start playing);

2. Gently squeeze the treble crescendo pneumatic closed, and
notes play;

3.  Bass playing to about a medium volume now;

and many other items. So I have called on a higher power.

Again thanks for all your input.
