Poppers Orchestrion Lamps
By Bruce Miller

I have a Poppers orchestrion and could use some assistance in locating
a piece for one of the front lamps. There is not a photo of this model
in Bowers' Encyclopedia, but it appears to be another version of the
"Welt" series, a number of which are pictured on the top of page 588.

Mine has two lamps on front, each of which consists of two vertical
white glass tubes. Unfortunately, one of these tubes is missing.
The tubes looks very similar to a section of a fluorescent light
bulb, but are thicker walled. They are just a hair under 2 inches
in diameter and about 10 3/4 inches long. They are frosted on the
inside.

I would hate to have to use plastic, but, I suppose it might be an
alternative if I cannot locate glass. I would greatly appreciate any
ideas or suggestions on this.

Does anyone have any more pictures of Poppers machines that are not
represented in the Encyclopedia?

Thanks a lot.
