The Bubble-Tube Juke Box
By Hal Davis

The comments about the bubble tubes remind me of the owner of an ice
cream parlor in Ypsilanti, MI when he got the first juke box with the
bubble tubes in his place. He looked at it and watched it for a while
and kept putting nickels into it. Of course, I stood there watching
it, as fascinated as he was.

Finally, about an hour or more later, he turned to me and indicated
that he wondered how they kept the records from falling out when they
had to turn it over to get the water back in the bubble tubes.

Sad to tell, it was a mystery to me too but I didn't think they'd have
to turn in upside down to do it, as he obviously did.
