Seeburg Select-O-Matic Home Jukebox
By Lamar Boulet

Yes, Seeburg did build a fine record player which played 12-in records.
It held 50 records. They were fine sounding machines, but would not
sell very well. I know, since I was a dealer.

I placed a player unit with a radio station in Arkansas which was used,
I was told, to supply music to offices, etc. I placed 4 or five of
them in this area. My brother has one and I have one, but they no
longer are used.

Mine got caught up in a flood of about 12 inches of water. Lucky I had
the player unit removed at the time. I repaired the cabinet. The
player unit is stored along with the radio and amplifier. I have the
service manual and if I was good enough at electronics, I could get it
going again. Record selection was done on some models with a telephone
dial and others used punch keys.

I have been waiting for some time now for the subject to come up.
I am glad it finally did. These machines are very interesting and
fine sounding.
