I was very excited to read about the upcoming Anthem program on NPR,
and was especially anxious to hear such things as a Mills, Orchest-
relle, etc. I checked NPR's web page to see when it was going to be
broadcast on Saturday, and imagine my disappointment on checking the
list of broadcast station for the "Anthem" program to find out that
no NPR station in the Washington DC/Virginia/Maryland area carries the
program. I called WETA-FM here in Northern Virginia, and they hadn't
even heard of the program series!

Hope someone who is in a broadcast area can update us on the show,
and wonder if any of those recordings of instruments themselves might
make their way to the MMD web site for download and enjoyment?

 [ If the National Public Radio (NPR) web site doesn't mention program
 [ distribution via the Internet, they probably don't permit it.  You
 [ could share private cassette recordings by mail, though, and it
 [ would be better fidelity.  -- Robbie
