Tangley Calliope Restoration
By Bruce Miller

I am beginning the total restoration of my 43-note Tangley calliope.
I have never worked on one of these before. It all new to me and I
have a number of questions that I hope some of you can help me with:

1. This model has the individual combined valve/pneumatic units.
The valve cover is metal (probably pot metal). From examining the valve,
it appears to me the valve cap might unscrew for access. There is some
sort of sealer around the seam.

Before I do something I might later wish I hadn't, I thought I would
ask for some pointers on this.

2. Has anyone ever made new/reproduction valves for this machine?
Does anyone have any spares?

3. I will also need a full set of gaskets that fit between these valve
units and the pneumatic stack. Any suggestions?

I greatly appreciate any comments/help you may be able to pass on
to me.

Thanks!
