Recording Pianos With Camcorder
By Andy Taylor

Hi, I have been trying to videotape my Pianomation piano with our
camcorder, to show some friends how nice it works and expresses since
I installed the Pianomation 'stack'.

Unfortunately, the recording leaves much to be desired. The piano,
on the uncarpeted floor, is just too loud, and the audio clips. It is
so loud in fact, that the expression can't be heard at all. When the
piano is played, all the expressions are quite noticeable to the naked
ear, but watching the video, it sounds like it is at top level, and for
some reason, sounds out of tune. (That's not quite the message I want
to send here!)

Our camcorder has no way of turning down the audio, so I will need to
use something else, or rent some equipment to make a decent video with.
Any suggestions anyone?

Thanks in advance
