Piano Mover
By Berley Firmin

Hi List! Mr. Beery asked about moving his Aeolian Grand across
country. Well, I just received my Aeolian Pipe Organ console,
pedal board, matching bench, and seven boxes of rolls from Keyboard
Carriage. I can't praise them enough!

The parts were located in a private home in Ohio. A local moving
company, Jones Delivery in Akron, Ohio, picked up everything and
stored it. Keyboard Carriage picked it all up and brought it to their
base in Kentucky, then put it on a truck bound for New Orleans.

I arranged to have it delivered to a truck stop, as there isn't any
local music business with accessible docks. I was waiting with a
trailer and the large semi with a lift gate delivered it into the
waiting trailer. The driver, Mr. Gotreaux, (a Louisiana native),
assisted with the well-padded and packed parts.

Keyboard charged me $500.00. Jones Delivery was around $140.00, in-
cluding a $25 per month storage fee. Actually they underbid on the
cost as the console had to be removed through a large window! They
were very nice about it however. (I will send them a little more money
on my own for the fine job!)

Everyone was very professional. I recommend them. Perhaps a moving
and storage company in San Francisco would help out with Mr. Beery's
move?
