Cable Carola Inner Player
By Dan Armstrong

Scott, I finished one of those players in Nov. of '97. The Carola
player is not real difficult if you are very careful with it's removal
and re-installation.

It is an indirect acting mechanism, where the note pneumatics operate
a fulcrumed lever which in turn operates the piano action, so you have
to be careful not to damage the operating mechanism as you remove the
stack. (Incidentally, in most Euphonas & Carolas the stack is separate
from the spoolbox and motor assembly, requiring a longer run of tracker
bar tubing.)

The tracker bar, narrow as it is works exceptionally well, better than
many of the wider tracker bars. Oh, one other thing, the spoolbox has
formed metal to make up it's top and bottom compartments. When you
remove these to replace the tracker bar tubing it can be a real bear to
put back on. You have to be careful or the spoolbox frame can be
broken.

When you're done, you'll have an exceptional 88 note player; there is
a picture of the Cable I did on my web site if you want to look at it.
