Electronic Power Supply for Ultraviolet Lamp
By Jim Hendershot

First of all, thanks to everyone who helped with my jukebox problem.
I think I have a source, and have picked up several sources of parts
and records. Neat!

On the ultraviolet lamp problem: Most likely the culprit is an
undersized ballast, but the best bet, by far, is to use an electronic
ballast, which fires off immediately. A long time ago, in a previous
life, I was in the special effects business, and we actually used
electronic ballasts (which were quite new at that time) to create
strobe (!) effects with fluorescent lights.

Bottom line: If you want fast, use electronic.

Best Regards,

Jim Hendershot
