Seek Ampico Mounting Brackets
By John Dewey

I have a customer who asked me to fix the Ampico player on his
Chickering. He paid someone else to rebuild it. The owner finally
had his lawyer write this person the piano was finally delivered a
couple of years late.

The "rebuilding" is interesting. On the pump, two bellows were
recovered by tearing the old cloth off and gluing new cloth over
the residue of the old cloth. The other two bellows were not touched.
Some pieces are missing; I think I have all the missing pneumatic
parts but some mounting brackets are gone.

I would like to talk to someone who has a complete Ampico "A" that
would be willing to describe the mounting brackets I am unsure of.
I have rebuilt a couple of Ampicos but it has been a few years and
I didn't pay a lot of attention to how things like the primary valve
assembly were mounted, since it was a mater of "put it back like it
was". This time the "was" isn't there.

If you can help please reply to me personally with a phone number
and best time to call to you.
