Angelus Orchestral Piano Player
By Steve Blanton

[ Forwarded to the Digest by Brian Chesters

Brian,

I have the Angelus push up player working pretty well and it sounds
good. I had to replace all gaskets and rebuild the wind motor and
replace twelve lead tubes that go to the tracker bar, so I am getting
more involved with this mechanical music business than I thought I
ever would. It has been a fun experience. I need your help if
possible. Can you help with label names? First let me say I do not
know the correct terminology so please be patient with me until I get
a book I ordered on rebuilding players.

This is a five stop player organ and push up piano player. Some of
the labels are missing and some of the hardware is also. There are
three pulls on the left . The first is blank and controls a flap
which opens and closes across the back of the reeds, the second,
"Re-Roll", and the third, "Metronome". Below them is a lever that
may have controlled a piano pedal but has no label or hardware.

On the right all pulls are labeled, "Violina", "Diapason", "Piano",
but there are two levers with no labels. One attaches to a small box
next to the wind motor, the other to both a pedal control and some
sort of volume control box.

All of this comes down to: I need one pull name and three lever names.

Sorry again for the poor terminology and descriptions but I will get
there someday. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Steve
