Decorative Piece for Reed Organ Foot Pedal
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Remember the cast iron pedal piece for a reed organ that
I wrote about a couple of weeks ago? The new cast iron pedal pieces
arrived today. They are absolutely perfect! No kidding! They are
identical in every way to the original piece.

I can highly recommend the Hobby Shop in Brandon, MN., for this kind of
work. But here's the real surprise. Remember I said that Mr. Olson had
ballparked a price of $20.00 per piece? And that I asked for two
duplicates and sent along $50.00 as a good faith deposit?

Well, enclosed with all three pieces was a plastic bag with a very nice
'Hobby Shop' T-ball jotter type pen, a plastic covered 'Hobby Shop'
calendar and ... forty cents change!! 'Ya coulda knocked me over
with a feather'!

I just called to thank them and let them know the parts arrived safely,
and he mentioned that he has one more set that he made up 'just in
case'. So if anybody needs them, call Mr. Olson at 1-320-834-2476.

And again, my thanks go out to Luther Melby for recommending the
Hobby Shop, and to Jody Kravitz and Robbie Rhodes for all their
tireless work.

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
Brick, NJ

[ We love your tireless energy and good humour, John! :-)
