CDs of Band Organs & Orchestrions
By Wybe van der Wal

Jennifer White asked in MMD 990629:

I suggest you visit the site of KDV, the Netherlands Circle of Friends
of the 'Draaiorgel' (= Dutch for 'Crank Organ') :

    http://www.travel.to/kdv.nl

Under the heading CD and Bookshop (GB) or Postorderservice (NL)
you'll find a lot of CDs of fairground organs, street organs,
dance-hall organs and miscellaneous. For direct access to this page:

    http://www.caiw.nl/~havo/kdv_post.htm

Also in the CD-shops in my country (the Netherlands) you always will
find a (various) selection of CDs of mechanical instruments. So if you
have a friend who travels to Europe, ask him/her to visit these shops.
Also several museums sell CDs of instruments of their collections.

If I remember well Nancy Fratti, a member of MMD, also offered CDs
on this list. You may find this back in the MMD Archives. I myself
wrote once about the availability of CDs from the Utrecht museum, and
Philip Jamison wrote about a CD of a Cuban mechanical organ, also to
be found back in the Archives.

Best greetings from Rijswijk, near The Hague in the Netherlands
