New York Times Web Site
By Karl Ellison

I tuned into the New York Times web site and the Stahnke/Rachmaninoff
article is for sale for $2.50. It doesn't seem to be among the very
few articles viewable for free.

Re: Robbie's apprehension to give out an email address: Since we all
know there's no such thing as free, you're quite right to believe
they'll sell your address. That's why I always keep a "junk" email
address handy. Many ISP's allow you to maintain a few addresses with
your monthly service fee. Whenever I need one for signing up for a
"free" Internet service, or to download software that first requires
a lengthy questionnaire, I'll use my real postal mail address, a fake
phone number and the junk address. When I look at the in-box every
month or so, sure enough, there's piles of spam to delete.
