I have restored many organettes over the years and have written
information down about the processes I used.  Among the articles
I have written are two you might want to read.  These articles were
written for the Musical Box Society and can be found in two 
different MBSI Journals:

Vol. XXXV No. 1, Spring 1989, pg. 34: "An Open Letter Regarding
Your Mandolina Organette, #1479"

Vol. XXXVI (should be XXXIV) No. 2, Autumn 1988, pg. 31: "Reeds --
The Heart Of An Organ"

You might want to locate a copy of both articles to help in your
restoration.  I have both articles and can get copies made if you
are interested.
