Shellac is a good adhesive for rubber tubing on the Wurlitzer piano.
Actually I use it on the hoses to help them slip onto the nipples and
it makes a nice airtight seal.   I think that is what they used and it
seemed to last.

Speaking of adhesives, now that no one is talking about this and that
glue and what not:  Hot hide glue is still the best to use on player
pianos ... period.  The cold hide glue in a bottle is not near as
strong.
