Music Rolls with Seals Intact
By Joyce Brite

Many eBay auctions include "MIB" or "Mint In Box" as part of the item
description. This means that the item has not been removed from its
original packaging and is, in essence, like new. The MIB designation
can bring a higher price for something such as baseball cards or Barbie
dolls. However, the MIB criterion has never been established for music
rolls to my knowledge.

What purpose would be served by placing a higher value on music rolls
with unbroken seals? Most likely, it would create an artificial market
for such rolls. That brings up the question: Which is most important
to us, the rolls themselves or the _music_ contained in these rolls?
