I just received my October Martha Stewart Living magazine and low and
behold Martha has her 1926 XR restored by Steinway. The article is well
done but doesn't cover the obvious subject of the player action
restoration. It does give the public a good idea of the complexity of
a good rebuild though. While on the subject of Steinways, I've noticed
a name stamped into the wood on the back of the strip behind the
controls below the keyboard on my 1926 XR. I wonder if this is the name
of someone involved with the duo art installation.
