Sankyo 20-note Disc Music Box
By Kirk Cylus

I thought some of you might be interested that Rhythm makes clocks
using the Sankyo disc player movement. I own one and they sound pretty
good -- not an heirloom, but fun to have and hear on the hour.

I collect and sell different types of musical clocks (the selling is to
help support my addiction, according to my wife). I have always enjoyed
music boxes and other musical items, but have found that if they don't
play on their own, either connected to a clock, or if electric,
connected to a timer, that they don't get played.

I'm in the process now of connecting a clock to a Regina 15-1/2-inch
double-comb disc player so it will play on the hour. I'll post it to
my web page when it is done. If anyone is interested in the Rhythm
clocks, they can see them on my web page at

I hope to add sound and other clocks in the near future, as I learn
more about constructing my web page.
