I haven't seen mention of Cable in any of my reed organ books, but I do
know that Cable was one of Chicago's major piano companies. I think
later they might have become "Cable and Something," but that's a vague
memory, so don't trust it.
It's very possible that Cable got their start building reed organs
before pianos took over, as did Mason-Hamlin and Yamaha. That's pretty
good company to be in. I hope this helps you out.
