Symphonion Music Box Parts
By Bob Klepner

Last Sunday I acquired a Symphonion Music Box at the auction of
Mechanical Music, etc. held here in Melbourne. Unfortunately the glass
has a crack in it and I am wondering if any MMD subscriber might be
able to help with the part or with advice about how to reproduce it.
It is a model 33A upright coin-operated 11 3/4 disc model, the lyre
model with a goldleaf lyre illustrated on the glass. My music box also
states: Automatic Musical Box Drop Penny in Slot at Side. Other
versions of this glass have the golden lyre and state Symphonion Musik
Automat. I would be happy to replace my glass with either version.

My winding handle is also not the original Symphonion S type handle.
Maybe someone has a spare one or knows of a source for these. May I
take this opportunity to thank MMD contributors for the wealth of
information and benefits of their experience on such a diversity of
technical subjects that I have found most interesting and potentially
if not immediately useful.
