Seek Empress Electric Orchestrion Info
By Bernt Damm

Hello all, I posted a few days ago seeking some information about
Empress Electric orchestrions. I can't believe that nobody out there
knows anything about this make. I will therefore repeat the post with
the hope that something will turn up after all.

I would like to know if anyone has heard of, worked on or has an
Empress Electric Flute and Violin piano. It plays O-rolls and is
featured on page 496 of the Bowers Encyclopedia. Apparently it has
Coinola insides.

I could use any information that anyone might have like production
numbers, possible restoration problems etc. I will also need a colour
picture of the art glass piece in front.

What would one expect to pay for one that is mentioned as complete,
semi-disassembled, considered unrestored and with an "okay" piano and
case. The case is quartered oak and I have not seen the instrument.

These instruments, like all orchestrions, are completely unknown
and unheard of out here so any information would be appreciated
tremendously.

Regards,
