Seek ""We're Gonna Hang Out the Washing ..."
By Kevin McElhone

I am urgently looking to find a copy of an 88-note player piano roll
made in 1939/40, possibly by QRS, with the title, "We're Gonna Hang Out
the Washing on the Siegfried Line".

This was sung by Flanagan & Allen, a famous comedy song-and-dance team
from the 1930's. I missed a copy sold in H.&.E. Rettig's roll auction
some years ago but _urgently_ want a copy. I would be prepared to pay
for your roll to be copied if you do not want to sell it. (Mike Kitner
in USA would be happy to copy it for me.)

The reason I want the roll is that Grandmother's sister was married to
Chesney Allen, one of the Duo. I am collecting their songs, but this
is one I cannot find anywhere. If anyone can help I would be grateful.

I have also been offered some extra titles of 46-note Aeolian rolls for
my tune lists, but little else in the last two weeks, so do contact me
if you can help.

Thank you,
Kevin McElhone, England
