Wilhelm Bruder Soehne "Clarabella" Barrel Organ
By Wolfgang Brommer

Dear MMDians, we have to restore a 20-note barrel organ of the
Wilhelm Bruder Soehne company, built about 1875. The name is
"Clarabella". We have to restore the little facade and the painting.

Can anybody help us to get pictures of an original organ like this one?
Please let me know all about this instrument. Thanks for your
wonderful help.

Yours

[ Herbert Juettemann's book about the Waldkirch organ firms says that
[ "Clarabella" is a Model 69 portable flute-organ, as described in the
[ 1930 catalog of the Wilhelm Bruder Soehne firm. I'm amazed that
[ a small barrel organ was still offered in that late year; many must
[ have been produced. -- Robbie
