FS: Two Player Pianos in Illinois
By Dave Kerr

A friend who spent the summer wrangling with his grandparents farm
estate has told me that they discovered some more, post-auction.
(Gramps 'collected' anything with moving parts, hand drills to steam
tractors, for 80+ years.)

Friend is 'not of the hobby' but nonetheless managed to truck to his
home in Syracuse an Autophone, a cob organ and two phonographs,
having learned a little something when he visited yours truly this
summer.

For anyone in the Bloomington, Illinois, area who's feeling adventurous
I quote from his letter:

> My sister recently told me that there are two player pianos in the
> garage at the farm in Bloomington, Illinois that did not sell at the
> farm auction. They wanted to junk them and I told them to hold off
> until I talked with you. They have been kept dry, but not sure if
> there might be mouse damage to the insides. We are auctioning the
> buildings off in early December. Would you be interested or know
> of anyone who might be?

> closest to the farm. Her number is 309-827-4793. Tricia is the
> other sister who could help. Her number is 309-452-7867. I'm not
> even sure the pianos are still there, but at least they could be
> used for parts.

It's too far away for me to be interested and I suspect that they
could be had for the hauling. I know nothing more about these pianos
than what is quoted above. Good Luck and please let me know what
I passed up.
