Haunted Piano in "Twilight Zone"
By B Bronson

The Twilight Zone's "A Piano in the House" featured a haunted player
piano purchased by an insecure Fitzgerald Fortune for his wife's
birthday. What interests Mr. Fortune most is that as the piano is
played, it somehow ("You unlock this door with the key of imagination")
opens up the real personality of a different person for each roll
played. He sees a golden opportunity for fun, at someone else's
expense, during his wife's birthday party. A number of guests gather
around the piano, uncontrollably revealing their inner feelings. Of
course, this smart alec gets his come-uppance in typical Twilight Zone
style.

The player piano also plays a significant role in Bally's Twilight Zone
pinball game, which is based on the TV series containing numerous
tie-ins to various episodes. In this case, the piano is always good
(as in real life!). The more you "play" it, the closer you are to
becoming "Lost in the Zone", which is the object of the game.
