Seek Tangley 58-note Calliope
By Marty Roenigk

We are still looking for a 58-note Tangley calliope at a reasonable
price to display at our historic Crescent Hotel & Spa in Eureka
Springs, Arkansas.

As some of you may know, Norman Baker was the founder of the Tangley
Calliope Company. He also owned the Crescent Hotel for 4-5 years and
operated it as the Baker Cancer Hospital, in a very very flamboyant
manner. Report has it that he had a Tangley Calliope on the roof and
would play it from time to time just to annoy the townspeople.

In any event, we would like to find a large Tangley to display (and
play) as part of the history of the Crescent. We have had many smaller
Tangleys, but this largest model seems quite hard to find. Any help
would be appreciated.
