Seek Plate for Broken Autopiano
By Berley Firmin

Hello again, Well, I thought life was rolling along fine until
yesterday. I had subcontracted with a piano tech to restore the player
mechanism of an Autopiano while he restored the piano. I rarely do
this. Well, he called yesterday and said the plate cracked a few days
after re-stringing. He had a welder try to repair it but it broke
again. Thus my headache. I have already done half of the work on the
player parts. The tech's insurance is being notified and the customer
knows the scene.

Does anyone, in their vast pile of forelorn junk pianos, have a plate
for an Autopiano. The serial number of this one is 78088. Below
the 1st bass tuning pin is cast 'BX'. In the bottom center is cast
'W15 J10'. There are 46 bass strings. Please rescue the piano (and
me)!
