After several years of inactivity with player piano work I find that
I need to lay in a supply of Carter's rubber cement and have been
unable to find that specific brand locally.

I've been able to find other brands such as Elmer's (rubber cement,
not the white stuff) and Ross (the label states that is acid free --
I suppose that would be a plus).  I hesitate to use these until I've
consulted with you Gurus and see if these are safe substitutions not
causing pouch leather deterioration down the line.

I've acquired a Gulbransen player (screwed not glued) and the player
unit is in a pristine state of deterioration just begging to be
restored and am following all the comments concerning current sources
of good supplies.

Organ Supply Industries, Inc.  http://www.organsupply.com/  has been
kind enough to send me cards of pneumatic cloth and pouch leather
samples of Australian origin.  They offer a .008" thin pneumatic cloth
and pouch leather; extra thin .010" to .014"  and thin .014" to .018".
